Fried Sardines, Scallops, Chicken Frenzied Drumsticks. Fredos. Wichita, Kansas. 3.7.2019.

NOTE TO SELF: I tried to order the octopus and the pork belly, but they were out of both. The chef said native tapas eaters eat the whole sardine, head to tail. I went for it. The brain tasted…not good. And I don’t believe that anyone can actually say they enjoy all those bones. The meat was good, but not that much different from sardines in a can. The drumsticks were good–sweet and spicy–but a little too easy(?). The scallops were smooth and delicious. All that to say, I was unsatisfied because it’s high time I admit that I don’t like tapas places. I want a full damn meal with a main dish and some sides.
