At a young age, Free has always wanted to fly like a pegasus. But being an earth pony she was always told that it was a foal's dream. Taking it as a personal challenge, Free devoted her life to find a way to make her dream a reality. During her studies, she found that the atmosphere of Equestria  After studying the patterns of waves in the oceans, she came up with the idea of making a hoverboard that can ride the latent magical aura in the skies.

After years of trial and error, she was able to create a hoverboard (that is powered by an energy gathering crystal). She soon founded her own company and school to teach the proper use of her boards.

Free is not a pony of confrontation but isn't a pushover either. Despite laid back personality she quite intelligent and full of quips. She can either be a good and loyal friend or the bane of your existence. Eager to help those who can't fly soar in the clouds, Free Wave welcomes all into her school.
