We call God’s Word our “Daily Bread,” but most of us don’t even “eat it” once a day. We fill the hole in our stomachs at least three times a day with food. If we would fill the hole in our hearts with God’s Word at least once a day, then we wouldn’t try to fill it with physical pleasures and earthly desires. Those things are fleeting. Only what is done for the Kingdom will last. We cannot live productive, victorious Christian lives without a constant, consistent diet of God’s Word. When we consistently consume the God-breathed Words of the Bible, it teaches us, rebukes us, corrects us, trains us and it thoroughly equips us for every good work. God’s Word is filled with love, redemption, blessing, and promise. God’s Word is sweet as honey in our mouths. God’s Word is not just a roadmap. It is life. When we feel used and abused, the Bible says we are loved. When we feel abandoned, the Bible says we are never alone. When we feel rejected, the Bible says we are redeemed. When we feel lost, the Bible is a lamp for our feet and a light on our path. When we feel worthless, the Bible says that we are God’s handiwork created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which He prepared in advance for us to do. When Satan tries to trick us into believing that we belong to the darkness, the Bible says that we are children of the light and children of the day; that we do not belong to the night or to the darkness. When we need direction, the Bible says that God will make us worthy of His calling. The Bible tells us that by God’s power He will bring to fruition our every desire for goodness and our every deed prompted by faith. All of this is so that the name of Jesus may be glorified in us, and us in Him, according to His grace. We should be so thankful for God’s Word that we never lose the desire to devour it. - Ezekiel: Our Daily Bread, The Bible In Poetry: Volume One: The Old Testament http://www.teresaschultzauthor.com #freeaudiobookwithpurchase #thebibleinpoetrybook #teresaschultzauthor #limitedquantity #audiobookcomingsoon to #audible #itunes #10freeaudiobooksleft #thursdaythoughts #thursdaymotivation #GodsWord #truth #ourdailybread
