Super Simple Crocheted Gift Bags
Introducing: Free and Easy Crocheting With Buttons & Yarn
Would you like to expand your skills and knowledge in crocheting? If so, then you have come to the right blog.
You may want to learn to crochet right from the beginning with simple, step-by-step tutorials. You might already know the basics of crochet and want to learn new stitches in their most simple form. Or maybe you are looking for crochet related hacks, reviews and demonstrations.
Buttons & Yarn’s new engaging blog is going to provide all of this and more - completely free!
What is Crochet
Crochet is the craft of tying long pieces of yarn into knot after knot, in a strategic manner, with a hook, until it becomes a finished piece of craftsmanship. Ruthie Marks, a renowned crocheter and published author, explains in her article, History of Crochet, that crocheting shows evidence dating back to the 15th Century!
Then and Now
In its first known beginnings, crochet was a skill which was passed down from mothers to daughters through oral delivery and physical demonstration. Then the distribution of printed patterns became another form of passing along skills and techniques efficiently. More recently, social media and the internet have been an ultimate game changer for crochet. All of the different techniques and skills of many very different crocheters are now accessable, to anyone, at the touch of a button. However, the overcrowded amount of different information on the internet can be very overwhelming and intimidating for new crocheters. That is where Buttons & Yarn's new blog, Free and Easy Crocheting, has come to the rescue. We are here to simplify things for those who want to learn.
Free and Easy Crocheting
Everything I have ever made was learned entirely through online research, trial and error, and endless YouTube tutorials. With this new blog we intend to give those who are complete beginners the chance to learn with step-by-step tutorials of the basics. We also intend to post a weekly blog which will teach viewers a new moderate to intermediate stitch. The Stitch of the Week blog posts will contain tutorials and demonstrations for the different variations of the stitch, and a recommendation for the simplest method. We will also be posting many crocheting hacks and crochet related product reviews.
