I read your gambit and Apocalypse one-shot do you have anything more planned for them?
So me and my friend @honey-minded-hivemind have chatted about it. I dont have plans for writing anything right this second. But im open to the idea of doing it in the future.
But here are some ideas from our chats!!:
Remy is popping up in Apocalypse's dreams due to his empathic powers. The connection is stronger and weaker at different times.
At first, they are stuck in nightmares. Mostly inside of Remy’s nightmares within the Antiquary's rooms. They eventually have a dream where they are outside. Remy is a lot lighter and chirpy, and Apocalypse does not want to return to where the child is so much more scared.
So when the next dream is Apocalypse’s nightmare, full of dying soldiers of his and the enemy army. So he figures out how to change the dream through sheer will and returns to the meadow. After this, he starts showing Remy around ancient Egypt. Remy is fascinated by everything.
Apocalypse is not pleased that Remy appears with a collar all the time. Remy is unaware how rageful the collar makes Apocalypse. Apocalypse takes to breaking it off when it appears on Remy's throat. He also asks after how Remy is being treated in the real world. Apocalypse is suspicious that Remy is lying about half of what he shares.
Remy says he's safe now, that the collar is just from dreams in the past. He does, however, state he is a thief, an apprentice thief. Apocalypse is suspicious of both, but would rather spend time with Remy than question it. He knows that people who are afraid lie. Maybe his little one is being forced to steal and is trying to snatch some pride from somewhere.
Remy isn't able to manipulate the dreams, other than being able to infuse emotions into food, which he shares with Apocalypse. Apocalypse likes when Remy is laughing and happy and does what he can to make him happy.
Remy then has a traumatic incident involving a lake in the real world where he almost drowns. And thus the new, fresh nightmare is stronger than Apocalypse. Remy is drowning perpetually in inky black waters and cannot hear or see Apocalypse, who is right there. Remy is panicked. Remy's brain is doing that mash-up thing that brains love so he is collared and bound to a boulder and dropped down into a frozen lake, drowning slowly with no sign of Creed coming to save him. alone. abandoned.
Apocalypse is desperately trying to do something. Remy is woken by family in the real world to keep him from hurting himself.
Then the dream keeps repeating whenever they share a dream.
Apocalypse eventually is able to burn away all the water and smash the rock. Remy is panting and staring at him, wanting to say thanks, but also needing to suck in air
Apocalypse tries to calm him down and is now more determined than ever to waken. His mental strength has grown due to Remy’s empathic powers feeding him, and he starts being able to influence people in the world to free him from his endless sleep.
Then we also talked about Apocalypse getting out and kidnapping Remy while making Creed the Death Horseman. And about Apocalypse making Henri and Jean-Luc turn into mutants. He tries to keep Remy asleep as he attempts to take over the world.
