The situation of minorities and women in Pakistan is dire, but it is changing, albeit slowly. Two steps forward, one step back – this is how Pakistan plays its game.
Read my first post on the situation of women and minorities in Pakistan for the Oslo Scholars Program blog!
I will be traveling to Oslo for the Oslo Freedom Forum, a three-day conference on human rights, in May. You can read more posts by my fellow Oslo Scholars and myself on this blog and keep up with us while we're at the Freedom Forum! We'll be updating it with photos, interviews with human rights activists, and our experiences during the conference. Throughout the summer, we'll also be posting our experiences and thoughts as we work in different parts of the globe on a variety of human rights issues - I'll be in Lahore, Pakistan, working with Asma Jahangir on minority rights and human rights legislation. Happy reading!
*Also, please ignore the grammatical error in the actual title on the website...I'm well aware that it's "its" not "it's". That's a lot of its (and it's).

I am currently working on the newspaper and having a spirited debate about grammar with Mr. Ziegler and Mrs. Erdman. Awesomesauce.
