From September 26, 2018 #freedom2018 I said hello to the beach today, and my soul was lifted 10x higher. It's easy to get distracted and lose sight of the important things in life. Building relationships is a struggle for me. Nurturing them, the hardest. You would always see me with the same group of people. People whom I truly love and who accept the sensitive girl disguised as a woman. In a world where people want to stand out and be recognized for whatever unique ability that they have, I want to be connected with people who possess different characteristics and abilities from me, who will fill the missing pieces to complete the puzzle that is my life. And so we become common. Unique, but common. No one has to stand out. It shouldn't be a competition. Let's just fill each other with goodness and maybe even love. I have to say, the pieces are coming together -- family, relatives, community, work, and friends. #icouldnotaskformore I was reminded of my journey to discovering who I truly am by discovering God. The beautiful...wonderful...and amazing thing about getting to know God is that you get to discover who you truly are -- Not defined by what other people say about you. Not defined by your job description. Not defined by your wordly possessions. Not defined by your wordly accomplishments. Not even by what you think of yourself. Because none of it matters. What only matters is what God thinks of you. And He thinks fondly of you. I realized that I will always choose Him. I chose Him. And by choosing Him, He gave me the freedom to choose me, to take care of me. Make it a point to add in your to-do list to take care of yourself. It doesn't have to be the #1 item on the list. It can even be the last thing on your list.
