Who won the quiz about modern day slavery?
Mogo was busy during 2014 Freedom Festival.
In collaboration with Unchosen Film, Mogo was transformed into world's smallest cinema. It hosted 160 people viewing Nicu, a short film about modern day slavery. Volunteers from Wilberforce Institute for Slavery and Emancipation, The Tea Break Film Festival, University of Hull and even kids from Beverley Swimming Club engaged 300 people in conversation about modern day slavery. All in all the questionnaire, the film and the volunteers brought the topic onto the street level, where the modern day slavery and the short film Nicu may have not been discussed in this detail otherwise. On behalf of Unchosen we collected £106 in donations. (Suggested donation was £0.50 per person viewing.)
Unchosen Film is doing an excellent job raising awareness about modern day slavery. People were engaged and shocked by the message; yet impressed by the quality of delivery. We cannot wait for the next year's selection of short films...
