Freedom in Unpredictability

Sometimes I feel I will never be free; the weight of the world is on me, the suffering and social problems and hate and violence in people is just too much. The environment is being destroyed, animal cruelty, depression, selfishness. How will this ever be resolved?

I find freedom in hope. 

But I also find freedom in the unpredictability of the world. Tsunamis and cyclones can just knock a state down in the blink of an eye and without warning, healthy people can find their world crashing around them when they realise they have terminal cancer. People meet other people, and fall in love before they even realise it's happening. We find $100 notes on the street, and trees pop up out of barren pieces of land that appear eternally dead. 

Perhaps freedom is unpredictability. "Relax, nothing is under control", as they say.
