I finally got off my ass and made an exclusive blog for my cosplay and props.  I’ll still re-blog everything here, but if you don’t want to see the rest of my nonsense, follow @freelancerarmory. I’ll be moving most of my cosplay posts over there over the next few days.

Started Bondo on the new helmet.

1. Fiberglass, bondo, pain, and install hardware in a new MK VI helmet for Wash.

2. Fix details and smooth Halo SMG for customer.

3. Glue and smooth ODST helmet for customer.

5. Print, glue, and smooth ODST breast plate for customer.

6. Build, fiberglass, and install body modifications for the F500 car.

7. Fix MK VI thigh armor for Wash.

8. Install elastic in thigh armor.

10. Fix broken fiberglass on shoulder armor for Wash.

11. Install new mounting hardware in shin armor.

12. Actually make MK VI boots for Wash this year.

15. Find time to write a new DnD campaign since our current DM has proven to be unreliable.

Finished the photon projector! Both the customer and I were extremely pleased with the outcome. There are a few details of want to fix, but that won’t be until after BlizzCon.

Freelancer Armory Journal Entry 1: Today, well today sucked. I use a special epoxy to coat 3d printed parts in order to fill in the layers and smooth the parts. USUALLY it works and cuts significantly into finishing time and effort. But last week something went wrong. The epoxy didn't set up. After 5 days it was still tacky ( it usually takes 2 hours). So I called the manufacturer. They recommend a fix. I tried it. It seemed to work. So I started sanding, only to sand though the solid top layer into the uncured epoxy. The part was ruined. The two biggest and most time consuming parts both had to be released printed and finished. Never mind this is due to the customer on Sunday. So now, rather than clear coating today, I still have until painted parts. Here's to praying I can get everything done.
