Freeport Bahamas
When you first get off the ship in Freeport you are not near the beach nor any major shopping area. You have to take a cab which is very enjoyable. Most of the drivers are very entertaining and will gladly tell you a lot of stories about the island and will point out things of interest as you pass them. They love it when you show a genuine interest in their island. Port Lucaya Marketplace is a must if you want to shop. It is bustling with local flair and some expected touristy shops as well.
