For an overwhelming majority of human beings, money is an important factor in life and can be used to achieve a near-infinite number of things.

It is not uncommon to hear relationship tips which boil down to buying your way to affection or forgiveness, in most cases through jewelry or some other shiny and expensive trinkets.
While it may be a common tip (diamonds are a girl's best friend!), how many times has it really worked for you in the long run?
How many times have you bought your wife or your girlfriend something to win their affection or forgiveness and they remembered it for years to come?
Chances are it never happened… as a matter of fact, chances are that you're pretty frustrated because this tactic for how to get her attention simply isn't working.
Why Buying Affection Is A Dangerous Game
What's wrong with this method?
After all, various "experts" on relationships are suggesting it and besides, it is considered to be something people with common sense would take for granted.
Well, as it turns out, when you spend money to get her attention the results are only going to be short-term and immediate. The objects you give her will not translate into some kind of long-lasting emotion for you; she will get used to them, she will get bored of them, and then she will forget them.
While it may seem like all you need to do is buy more stuff, it will only make things worse because it will make the relationship material-based, and unless you are both absolute materialists, there isn't a chance in hell it will work out.
So... What's This Got To Do With Buying Likes For My Website?
So anyways, what does this all have to do with buying traffic, as the title of the article clearly indicates?
Well, let's start at the beginning. You are probably aware at this point that it is possible for people to get more instagram followers, to get more Etsy traffic, get more Youtube viewers, get Facebook Likes and Twitter followers by using pay to click traffic exchange services.
Why do people do that? Well, building a big list of followers or a stream of traffic takes a lot of time and hard work… if done manually. The other alternative is to skip the hard work part, sign up to a few traffic exchange sites and list your new blog post and new video, like a few posts and videos that others have submitted, and, and sit back and wait for others to do the same. Voila! The job is done! Right?
Well, not quite seeing as how making such a purchase is very much akin to the relationship described above, where you buy someone's affection.
What? Likes Compared To Love??
Naturally, traffic isn't the same as affection, but hear me out:
Traffic in itself is pretty much useless if the people coming to your website don't care about what you have to offer.
At first, the influx of traffic will get your website higher up in the search engine rankings, but if you choose the wrong strategies for using a social or traffic exchange service, your bounce rate will increase, the average number of pages explored will go down, and if you're advanced enough to be tracking it, your conversion rate will be incredibly low. Obviously, these aren't good statistics to be looking at on a regular basis.
All in all, buying traffic is a really ineffective form of cheating, much like buying someone's attention, love and affection.
It will pay dividends for a very short time, but if you're doing it to make up for some other deficiency, you risk getting stuck in a vicious circle where spending more money will only end up making things worse.
If you want long-term results and a stable stream of traffic that will bring you money, you need to build your business and relationships naturally, with hard work and determination; buying your way to the top just won't work, long term.
