You know me and my obsession with books. I make it my mission to find the coolest independent bookstores in a new city. Well, my steps brought me to @tridentbooks! It reminds me of Powell’s in Portland (my favorite region in all of the country), but smaller. Equipped with its own cafe and two floors, and plenty of keepsakes for locals and travelers. So this little dancer got to see her dream school. I didn’t tell her, but this was the main reason why I wanted to make this trip happen. Visualization is key. I tried to get in to get an impromptu tour, but she said, “Dad, stop being a creep…” 🤣. Who knows, years from now this could picture may prove to be of some value. I told her how Justin Herbert QB or the LA Chargers did a school assignment when he was six and said he would one day be the QB of the San Diego Chargers. I told her how Jason Tatum of the Boston Celtics wrote a paper in school on one day being a NBA player yet the teacher told him to think more realistically. If you can imagine it. If you can see it.
