I've learned of this young woman, Sephora Astride Bashiya Biduaya, who has been in prison since December 19, 2016. She was participating in the rally calling for Joseph Kabila to respect the Congolese constitution. At the time of her arrest, she was pregnant. Unfortunately, due to different types of torture in jail, she had a miscarriage and is still being detained in a prison in Goma, North Kivu. She has been now imprisoned for close to 7 months now. Who is she? She is the Vice President of the youth league of UDPS (a political party in Congo).
