Alive And Kicking

Remember that song from Simple Minds? It came to mind as I started writing this blog post. 

For those who know me well, know some of my fears - fear of the dark, eerie spaces and speed. I took a risk today, maybe against my better judgment, but needless to say, I’m alive and well, and admittedly, bursting from excitement, or a massive adrenaline rush!

Before today, I never really understood the appeal of motorbikes, and all that goes along with them such as the danger, the community, the gear. After today, I get it.

A definite highlight of being in NY was late this afternoon, coming from Astoria, Queens and crossing the Queensboro Bridge (aka 59th street bridge) into Manhattan during sunset, on a motorbike (as the passenger)! Crazy. I have no photo because, well, my hands weren’t exactly free. And yes, I wore a helmet.
