Yo your art is so dope! These pieces have inspired me so much, im actually starting to read the Hobbit for the first time tonight
That’s nothing short of amazing (pun not intended I swear), Tolkien’s work is hugely inspiring to me, and many others, so I’m glad I get to spread some of the inspiration around. I really hope you have a good time with The Hobbit!
Hey there, ive slowly started reading les mis but i got stuck at the first chapter ten, where the bishop visits the dying conventionist? Im kinda confused, why exactly is everyone hating him, wasnt he one of the people in congress after the people killed the king? Shouldnt he be liked then? Its been kinda bothering me and i havent been able to find anything, so i thought i might ask you for a lil help. Thank you and have a nice evening :)
Sure! I’m so glad you asked!
The thing is Les Mis is set at a point where there have been a LOT of conflicting regimes in every adult’s living memory. At the moment and place the Bishop’s story is taking place, the republic has been replaced by Napoleon (still calling it a republic to some extent , but no) and then it’ll be kings, and then Napoleon again, and then kings for a while!
So in the Bishop’s time, and in Hugo’s as he’s writing the Convention is often seen as a bloodthirsty coup overthrowing the True (monarchical) order. The Republic is out of favor. But that’s not an opinion Hugo shares! And he knows that a lot of his audience will, or will have heard it, at least. So he has the conversation between the Bishop and the Conventionist to establish the rightness and justice of the Revolution. Without that being established, after all, a lot of the book wouldn’t make sense! Hope that helps, but please ask more if it doesn’t! The Revolution is a constantly significant issue in the story, so it’s good to talk about it!
Goat for @fregg-hegg
I hope you like it ( @* v*@)

But the real question is, how/why did martin know about orgalorg? Considering orgalorg has been "gone" for a couple thousand years.
Orgalorg is treated more like a legend amongst adult aliens across the universe.
Regardless of how long Orgalorg’s been gone, people have continued to tell the stories of Orgalorg.
And Martin is an experienced space traveler by now. He’s heard the legend from somebody somewheres.
Yoyo, just stopping by to throw in something regarding your "lemongrab 3 coming to terms with himself" theory. In "you made me" he shouts at the pup gang I AM NOT GREASE, while in the third mirror of mathew when he explores himself, he licks his nose and says "i am ... grease" . Lovely blog btw :)
hey there ! i really like those turnarounds, mind telling us if its just plain pencil/pen and then digitally colored, or did you add some lines digitally too? i cant quite figure it out and id love to know :) have a great day !
Hi! Thank you :^D
I draw my lineart in Paint Tool SAI and colour in Photoshop CS6! I have videos of it on my YouTube channel if you'd like to see that.
