New release: CHAIN REAKTOR - HOMESICK The Dutch modern progressive rock band Chain Reaktor releases their debut album 'Homesick' today. Chain Reaktor's music is groovy, adventurous, sometimes heavy or dark and always melodic. The name Chain Reaktor refers to the passion for music passed on from generation to generation, like an unstoppable chain reaction. The band was formed by the young talented brothers Bart and Arjan Laan (both from Skylake).Together with their father Erik Laan (also known from Silhouette), they wrote the music and lyrics. In search of a groovy bassist, they asked their friend Mark op ten Berg who has a background in soul and funk. Their debut album Homesick is about gloomy loneliness overshadowing modern urban life, where you can experience solitude amidst the crowds. Where new generations struggle to find their true identity; where many people desperately try to find their true home. With songs such as “The Lying King”, the band also furiously settles accounts with narcissists in politics, the corporate world and – last but not least – the music industry. An expression of rage against a world in which only rats seem to win the race. But most of all, Homesick is an intimate album, a journey, a search for ones true home.
