So! Today around this time two years ago, I was hit by a bus in motion while covering a homicide scene of the driver of the same bus that hit my car, he had just been murdered while driving. I survived and just cracked my pelvis bent a finger and broke my right hand's middle finger. What save my life was that the two front airbags activated and I was not eating a seatbelt but sadly the life of Salvadoran father, husband and friend was lost due to the ongoing violence El Salvador had been going through for the past couple of decades. / ¡Asi es que! Hoy cómo está hora hace dos años, fui golpeado por un autobús en movimiento mientras le dan cobertura a la escena de homicidio del conductor del mismo autobús que golpeó mi auto, quien acababa de ser asesinado mientras conducía. Sobreviví y solo tube una fisura en mi pelvis, me doble un dedo y quebré el dedo mayor de mi mano derecha. Lo que salvó mi vida fue que los dos bolsas de aire delanteras se activaron y que no tenia el cinturón de seguridad puesto, pero tristemente la vida de un padre, esposo y amigo salvadoreño se perdió debido a la constante violencia que El Salvador ha estado sufriendo durante las últimas dos décadas. #ElSalvador #frelance #photojournalism #CentralAmerica #violence #ElSalvador #EverydayLatinAmerica #JuanCarlos #2017copyright
