Who would have ever thought that not taking a leave from work could get people in trouble with the law?
A baker in France was recently fined $3,600 (Rs 2 lakh) for not taking even a single day off from work during summer of 2017.
41-year-old Cedric Vaivre broke one of France’s labour laws by keeping the only bakery in the town of Lusigny-sur-Barse…

French Baker Sells His Bakery For €1 To A Homeless Man Who Saved His Life
What do you do when a beggar asks you to spare him alms? Most of us might shoo beggars away and others will be kind enough hand them change or leftover snacks.
This is a story of a French baker who did not just spare alms to a beggar who, later on, will be responsible for saving his life.
Michael Flamant is a 62-year-old baker who sees a homeless man named Jérôme Aucant beg at passersby outside his bakery every morning. So instead of sparing him some change, he regularly invites him for coffee and a croissant to keep the man’s spirits up. He did this deed every morning for the next couple of weeks until one day, Jérôme unintentionally returned the favor.
Last December, Michael was baking in his kitchen but ever since he got his oven fixed, he was feeling uneasy. The oven was later on checked to have been poorly fixed that caused a carbon monoxide leakage. Flamant was unconsciously inhaling the poison until one day,it took its toll and he started losing consciousness.
Jérôme could not have come at a more perfect time as he took one look at the old man and knew something was not right. He then pulled him out of the bakery right away. He also called the emergency services asking for help.
That day, if Jérôme hadn’t popped into the boulangerie, I was headed straight for the boulevard of the departed. says Michael to Telegraph UK.
Michael was a lucky man because if he stayed inside 15 minutes longer, Jérôme might have been pulling a lifeless body out of the bakery.
How does Michael repay the homeless man who saved his life?
He offered the 37-year-old an apprenticeship at the bakery and only days later, he saw how willing and able Jérôme was to be in the kitchen. He then gave him the whole boulangerie for only a single Euro!
So I decided to leave him the concern for one symbolic euro.
Although Michael had daughters who could be his successors, none were interested in taking over the business and he was already planning out his retirement. He has seen Jérôme work hard his entire life and his perseverance to succeed is what makes him the best choice to make the bakery work in his hands.
‘Michael has given me a real gift, and now… I want to be worthy of it,’ says Jérôme in an interview with Firstpost.
Imagine the chain of the ripple effect on this heart warming story! It has been a life changing series of events for both Jérôme and Michael. The Almighty truly rewards those who show other people random acts of kindness.

Lunch at French Baker, Serin Tagaytay
Trying out the mall, Serin in Tagaytay. We decided to have our lunch at French Baker.
This is the Beef Lasagna. I love how the cheese melted with the pasta. We also ordered another pasta which is Lasagna Verde.
Our last order is the Hickory Spareribs.
I ordered this meal because it has rice and vegetables. Along with the meal is a complimentary soup as shown in the image below. The flavor of the soup for that day is corn.
For the drinks we ordered a carafe of Four Seasons. I enjoyed this drink because it is their own mix that keeps me wanting for more.
