The foreign language major urge to create a side blog in French for practice...
Bonjour!
My name is Grace, and I'm a college student who plans to double major in French and Latin. I want to work on practicing my French more practically, so I've made this Tumblr account to practice writing with the vocabulary and grammar I'm learning in class. Please be kind! I love this language, and really want to learn the best I can.
My main account is @writergracethepanda, where I post about my favorite books and music!
Merci, et au revoir!
A guy from my screenwriting class shared this one with me and I’m honestly so relieved that this type of media exists
I took Swedish in college and my brain translated parts of songs into Swedish as I learned more of the language. This was also long before my AuDHD was confirmed by a clinical psychologist. It was just another weird secret I kept about my brain
Hello friends!
My goal was to post more on this account in college, but here we are almost a full semester into college and I have done nothing but reblog.
Anyway, I have declared a French minor and was wondering if anyone knows of someone who needs a partner to practice a language with. It would be beneficial to both of us and would boost our language skills! I am an intermediate-mid French speaker and native English speaker, so I am looking either for a native English speaker who is also learning French or for a French speaker who is learning English so we can help each other learn and grow! Feel free to DM me if you or someone you know is interested! :)
Does anyone who follow me speak French? I want to work on aspects of French that I won't necessarily learn in school that will help with my fluency, as well as some language I use in everyday life.
I specifically want to learn how to be gender inclusive in French, specifically how to address my non-binary friends.
Any advice or resources would be appreciated!
I was listening to pApA $ucre by Eddy de Pretto and got real stuck on "ton truc" being used. Because I knew it meant "your thing", so I kept looking to seeing if it also could be a euphemism for penis based on context.
Because it completely slipped my mind that "your thing" was slang for penis in English too
