Ah, this is so nice! so many references and yet so original and so unique. I have been a huge fan of mr Godin since the 90s. chapeau!
This score, composed for the TV spy show Au service de la France (A Very Secret Service), sees Godin assemble a small jazz orchestra and turn out fifteen pieces of library ephemera. it’s exactly what we like here at Technicolor. It reminds me of Pierre Cavalli and Jean-Claude Pelletier but, again, very unique.
here is a fun story: AIR was my first ‘foreigner’ live show, in Milan, in 1999 (not sure about the date, but was just before they released 10.000 hertz).
by the way, this is pretty good too. a dun version of Playground Love, by Justine, French producer and vocalist. Love the chill sax, very dubby.
