PGA Reach receiving more than 50 sets of Golf Clubs for Veterans and Youth

Frenchman’s Creek residents give to PGA Reach Foundation

More than sixty Frenchman’s residents found a “match” for over 1000 golf clubs they no longer needed.   The golf clubs were donated to the REACH Foundation of the PGA of America.   PGA REACH provides golf clubs to veterans through its HOPE (Helping Our Veterans Everywhere) program and to disadvantaged youth in PGA of America chapters all across the country.   Announcement of “Golfers Giving Back” project of the Frenchman’s Creek Volunteer Match Program went out in early April.   Directions were simple: Bring your golf clubs to Todd Kitchen, head of our outside-operations. Many thanks to Robert Bruno for his support and assistance and to Todd Kitchen and his Outside-operations staff for making it happen.On Thursday, April 29th, representatives from the PGA REACH Foundation came to Frenchman’s to receive over 50 sets of golf clubs.  “Frenchman’s Creek is the first golf club to undertake a project like this for PGA REACH,” says Scott Kmiec, PGA REACH Senior Director, and REACH Coordinator, Caroline Blackwood.
