Unepic is a really good side scroll-ish RPG with some Table Top (D&D style) inspirations. Mount & Blade is good if you enjoy anything like Skyrim, Dragons Dogma, or Dark Souls. There is no magic or anything, and it's kind of simple, but that is somehow part of why it's great. The bad news is it definitely needs mods. The good news is that those are much easier now thanks to Steam.
