Road to recovery...
Esther burns out the healing energy in the relic, its blessing spent…she chucks across the room like it had insulted her, it’s usefulness now that of an ornate paper weight.
“Roight, ’m going tah take ‘em to tha hospital tah rest, they still need help.”
Standing, she cradles the frail human in her strong arms, at her full height she’s six feet even. Walking to the decontamination door lock she stops short…
“I’d take ya wif me seerofheros, see'n they your patient… but I can’t take ya bof, not when they so weak loike this…”
As the chamber scrubs them both clean, Esther begins to think of anything and everything that she could have done better. She saw that the other hosts weren’t nearly this weak after the damned parasite left…
She had resorted to her strength again, like always and had given up when her talking didn’t work…If she had kept at it, if she had kept talking to them about G, to fight it’s grip it could have–
Her thoughts were abruptly cut off with a cheery ding, signaling that they were both safe enough to be around the public people without risk of infection…
“Sorry bout’ gettin’ rough wif ya, Love. Tha damned thing wouldn’t fuck off! I see anotha’ one a those purple shits I’m burnin’ the litl’ bastard alive!!”
She gently rests them on the grass of their lawn for a moment, shucking herself out of the armored hazmat suit, stuffing it in her magic shoulder bag. It might be useful later, you never know! With the suit no longer restricting her, she sprouts a set of massive upside-down wings. Gingerly she lifts them up as if they were made of sugar glass, carrying them bridal style.
With a single beat of her wings, they were up in the air. Enroute to the hospital…
Back in the house, Beats spoke up…
“Well that was a nightmare, probably should call @tyranttortoise and have them tell G about @ut-stuff.”
They let out an exausted sigh. “He’s not gonna be happy about this, that much I know for certain.”
They tap in Tyrants number, hesitating for a moment over the ‘call’ button… Just before hitting it with a jab of her thumb and putting it to her ear…
It’s ringing…
