John Watson had worked hard to be accepted at Starfleet Academy. As an Augment, a descendant of the super soldiers who seized power on Earth during the Eugenics wars, he's had to work twice as hard. Play twice as hard too, because screw them. The only path to ship duty for an Omega is extra credits like T.A.ing a Professor's class. The mysterious Commander Holmes, an Augment like himself, would do nicely. Very nicely.

Sherlock Holmes had gone to considerable effort to put his past - and his family - behind him. His career in Starfleet hadn't gone exactly as envisioned. Bounced from research facility to facility, his analysis on how to defeat the Borg ignored, now he's finally washed up teaching at the Academy. His T.A. is fascinating. Of course, he's entirely above all that alpha biological nonsense.

Starfleet never really intended to assemble a crew with a half trained doctor and an alpha Augment with authority issues. But they also didn't really intend for the Borg to make it quite as far as they did.

And so...These are the Voyages of the USS Bakerstreet. Her five year mission (make that ten (okay fine twelve year mission + time travel)), to seek out new life and new civilizations. To go boldly.

Rec: This is a massive, epic crossover between Sherlock and Star Trek. The crossover characters mainly come from the reboot movies and the Deep Space Nine TV series, although many plots and locations from the original series are used and referenced. Thus, it is necessary to have a working knowledge of the Star Trek universe, with special emphasis on Star Trek: Into Darkness (the one in which Benedict Cumberbatch played Khan Noonien Singh). It’s also an Omegaverse fic, with Augments (genetically enhanced humans such as Khan, but here also Sherlock and John) having Alpha/Omega biology.

it might sound like a crazy mishmosh, but it’s actually very cohesive, all plotted in exquisite detail, with each installment a complete adventure that builds on each other. There’s lots of fun stuff like “sex pollen” (which is actually from Star Trek canon), holodeck porn, time travel, magical healing cocks, and stunt casting, but also some very strong issue-driven plots involving things like gender identity, racism, reproductive rights, and war crimes and the possibility for redemption thereof. Along with a metric tonne of luscious emotional pining a la “in a relationship without knowing it” as our two heroes bone in denial on every surface of the ship and then some. All together, the series is a stellar tour de force that has kept me hooked for weeks.

Part 20, which is as far as I’ve read at the moment, is a very good pausing point, as it marks the end of the Bakerstreet crew’s first 5-year mission and the wrapping up of at least one major plot arc that definitely had me mentally punching the air in triumph.

finally had enough time to sit down and finish Fresne’s ref sheet~!!

for anyone curious, she’s a Furomimi, they’re tiny human-animal hybrids that have a glass bubble in their ears that’s full of a unique liquid they originate from c: her liquid is angel’s tears~ my first thought for her was that of a princess who learned to protect herself, and I decided to base her off Cinderella, hence the glass heels (and armor!) and matching glass weapons~ 

I had a lot of fun with her design, and (hopefully) I’ll be working on my BF’s design for the species next~ his is based off of Jager ;3c

update to that design I bought >:3c I am in LOVE, lads

she has to represent a type of liquid that the species has in their ears, hers are angel tears, so she’s got the wing motifs on her armor and the feathery bit on her shirt sleeve~ I need to decide if I want her to have a sword and/or a shield, it’s super funny cause the other people who have babs in the species have them all like,,, soft and in cardigans and then I roll up with a babe in ARMOR dkfjbkjfa but I honestly could care less  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
