Hmong New Year experience 2017. Learned some things about this event. From the clothing being worn and how its change just as the culture has changed within the culture, where all the singles gather to socialize with others and catch a ball with one another to get to know one another to see if potential vibes, trying Hmong sausage, pork chops, stucky icky rice, fried bananas, egg rolls and some honeydew boba (bomb). The songs I have no idea about Mr. Lee who I met was cool enough to tell me what one particular song was about. It was a sad song he said (that he had just got done singing). How this couple serparated and now they miss each other. I met another cool cat by the name of Sao. He was a man of many hats. Very flashy in his red jaket piece and floral tie. He came all the way from Missouri to attend Hmong New Year in Fresno to catch up with family or friends I believe. Networking at the same time. He told me if I like this event that I would have to experience a Hmong wedding. Cant wait! Hahaa over all the people that Ive spoken with were awesome and open to take a photo or to be interviewed. Outfits were coloful and vibrant. Over all I definitely had a great experience and looking forward to 2018 Hmong New Year God willing.
