So he does something that seems brave, but it is governed by the fear he has lived and breathed by.

Listen, Jet was a manipulative, obsessive, aggressive, horrible person but just
I don't have words to describe what feelings this image provokes within me, only distressed noises.
This image doesn't excuse what he's done. It doesn't make up for the pain that he's caused, but it doesn't try to. All this image does is explain what Jet was feeling and why he formed the beliefs he did.
This is the face of an eight year old child who's watching their entire world being burned away in vivid, gorey detail.
Jet isn't right in this situation, but this image isn't trying to make Jet right. It's trying to make you see what Jet saw and has to live with. And it hurts.
