I think you and Elrond would be perfect together. He would find your awkwardness endearing, and always be able to cut right through it with a gentle word or wise phrase. There may not be Disney movies in Middle Earth but you can have the next best thing, Lord Elrond telling you the stories of the world. There would always be music floating on the breeze in Rivendell, for you. When you get in your talkative moods, Elrond would be so pleased to sit there and listen, adding in a comment here or there.
GoT..please do not take offense but I believe you and Tyrion would be a fun counterpart for you. (Granted I think he would still visit brothels, with your approval) He shares a love of stories and fairy tales, enjoys music, and might even delight you with a song of your own if he’s had enough wine. Doesn’t much care for sports. Science? Pfff. Art is what you make of it anyway. He would have definitely been the one to approach you, and kept at it, slowly getting to where you were comfortable enough to start a real conversation. From then on it’s been nothing but little quips, witty comments, and lets be honest the Lannister in him- he would spoil you with gifts
This is for the shipping thing~ I'm fine with LotR/Hobbit/GoT --Okay, so, I'm an ass. I'm the type of person who will move the furniture a few inches to the left, and laugh when everybody bumps into things. But I also know when and who to be serious with. I'm creative, and I love painting, though I'm reserved about showing my work off. I'm not good at socialising, even though I like people, and I'm awful at sports -aside from fencing and volleyball, which I've been doing since I was small.

Thranduil would LOVE YOU! You would be serious when needed, but provide much needed entertainment for him. He might never participate in your pranks but he will always enjoy them (eventually you’ll wear him down and he will) Thranduil would cherish your paintings and hang them over his quarters, which you don’t mind, but it’s not until you find one out in the halls of Mirkwood, near the library or something and you are so just alakjfadfs but he insists that everyone should enjoy, and despite protests you now have compliments rolling in.
