I know it’s 2026 but K Project is just such a… fandomable anime. Why have we let go of it?
I can’t rebuild it alone. I’ll try, but I might need an army. Who’s signing up?

Red Seri and Blue Izumo. (Still into each other.)
This also means we get Red clan Awashima keeping Mikoto in line and Blue clan Kusanagi suffering having to deal with Munakata on a daily basis. In this AU they probably have even more shared suffering, Awashima is just glad that she has another adult to talk to and Kusanagi is relieved to be free of people with shiny glasses for at least a brief time. Awashima is definitely seen as the adult in the room of Homra, imagine her as a no-nonsense bartender and everyone probably has a small crush on her because she’s so cool and competent. Mikoto defers most actual decision making to her because she’s the responsible one and also she’ll glare at him if he causes problems by not listening to her. Kusanagi meanwhile is probably in something of an opposite position in S4 versus his Homra self, rather than wanting to let his King live freely Kusanagi has to try and gently rein Munakata in when Munakata’s getting a little too wrapped up in some splendid idea of justice. Kusanagi and Munakata presumably get along better in this AU than in canon, Munakata respects Kusanagi’s business sense and way of handling the rest of the force but also he wishes Kusanagi-kun would loosen up a little and perhaps we should all have a fun bonding experience together.
When he’s sent to make contact with the Red clan Kusanagi isn’t sure what to expect, he figures it’ll be another rowdy crowd and probably hard to deal with in their own way. Then he walks into the bar and sees Awashima there dressed all smartly with her shirt perhaps just unbuttoned enough to show some cleavage and Kusanagi almost drops his cigarette. He’s actually surprised that someone so severe is second in command of Homra, while Awashima admits she didn’t expect the second in command of Scepter 4 to be so loose. They end up with a similar dynamic as in canon but on opposite sides (also imagine Kusanagi seeing Awashima make herself an anko martini and once again he almost drops his cigarette), they get to complain to each other about their respective Kings and be the ones keeping everything running smoothly. Munakata definitely notices that Kusanagi seems to enjoy spending time with Homra’s most capable second in command and Kusanagi shrugs, she’s an easy lady to talk to is all. Meanwhile in Homra imagine everyone being wary of Kusanagi though, like the Homra alphabet are all I think that guy from the Blues was hitting on our big sis Awashima, if he looks at her the wrong way I’ll kick his ass.

Izumo: I think I'm falling for you.
Seri: Then get up.
Me seeing two characters I ship interact:
Izumo unironically sends Seri a wide variety of bean memes whenever possible.
Due to their incredibly busy lives and irregular schedules, dates are practically impossible for Seri and Izumo to have. To get around this they have what they call “Secret evenings.” These evenings consist of slipping onto the roof of bar HOMRA after hours to have dinner under the stars.
Stargazing...
Kusanagi: The stars are beautiful tonight...
Awashima: Yeah. You know what else is beautiful? *glances to Kusanagi*
Kusanagi: *blushes*
