Lauren Bahr, what’s in your fridge?
Oh the terror of my refrigerator!
In theory, I love to cook and like to keep a fully stocked kitchen. There are edible things in here-- the manchego cheese, the grapes, the pickles, the yogurt, the Aloe juice. But on the whole... well, let's just look at the condiments. There are FORTY-THREE jars of them. Some of them are our roommate's, and the Siracha and Tapatio are my staples, but I think the rest must be science experiments by now. There's also so much leftover takeout that needs to be tossed. And there are a few pots and bowls that are totally my bad-- miso soup I made weeks ago, rice from a month ago...Clearly we have an issue. I mean, what horrors are being harbored inside those clouded leftovers containers? What is that paper bag just kind of floating in the back there? I have no idea. I'm going to clean right after I finish writing this.
Luckily, this refrigerator madness is a positive sign. I've been so happily busy lately. My show just went up on this amazing website Buy Some Damn Art-- and this store in Greenpoint called The Perfect Nothing Catalog is going to sell some pieces as well. I'm a freelancer now, and every project I work on seems to give me some new skill that I can apply to my art. I'm really happy with what I'm making at the moment. And the rest of our house is a lot cleaner than our fridge!
This month's Fridge Fail is also this month's life win.
