Wait, so Yukine's shitbag dad didn't even bury the fridge, judging by the fact that Yato only dug up snow to find it.
So Shitbag just left Yukine there, on the surface, in a locked fridge.
If he'd been buried, Yukine probably would've eventually grown to realise that nobody would hear him no matter how much noise he made.
But because he wasn't, he'd always have that flickering sense of hope that someone might pass the fridge and hear him screaming.
He might've had it for days, depending on what situation he was in before he was left there.
