I'm bringing this up because when the GOP-dominated federal legislature eventually gets around to making it legal for ICE to search homes without a warrant, don't come to mine for protection because I've got nowhere to hide you where they won't find you.

Please be careful of what you post online and how you word something. This extends from comics to comments. Some topics are just too touchy and you don't know what some people went through in order to be triggered. You can make the most harmless joke where even you are even trying to make people laugh with you at you or disagree on something in the most reasonable way, but feelings may still get hurt.

I give this warning not as a judge, but a friend who has been there and done that. All of you know I'm not a hater and I know all of you aren't. That's why I'm saying it. There is a time and a place for certain jokes and to debate certain topics. In places that are meant to be safe spaces, neutral zones and open to all people, best to leave debates and bold jokes at the door. Even if you're right, everyone's feelings matter.

So please, be kind online, say you're sorry and mean it when you do wrong, and above all else, treat people the way you want to be treated.
