#FRIENDSOFJAG
Is a great initiative to help the museum keep its collections but what I think makes it even more exciting, it keeps you in the loop of all the upcoming events, studio visits and invitations to openings. This speaks to me because this initiative helps the museum present different art varieties -as all must be shown. #FRIENDSOFJAG is relevant to not only one art exhibition but helps the up keeping of the entire museum, no mater what art is being shown. #FRIENDSOFJAG helps the museum to stay relevant, bringing new and more feet through those beautiful oversized halls. As "The Administration of People and Goods" (Deliss. C. 2013) mentioned how often the ethnographic collections are out of sync with the current geopolitical questions surrounding global citizenship, and I think by having something like #FRIENDSOFJAG is a way to challenge this and most importantly to get people talking.
