I got creative...

So, I’ve never really used watercolors before but I’ve been really wanting to. But I do have some Tombow dual tip watercolor markers that I’ve played with but usually just ruined a page in my bujo and moved on.

So I have been wanting to make paper rings and ordered some origami paper which came but was the most hideous patterns possible (I order most everything online because I’m pretty much homebound. If you haven’t read my latest post to Taylor explaining why it’s here. Besides being not very Lover like they’re a little too big for my little hands. But they still came out nice (minus the washi tape closure🤣)

Then, figured I could just color the one side in the Lover colors and that would look great. I tried it first on some calligraphy paper I had (another craft failure) and it came out ok but was a little too flimsy. Finally, I decided I’d go with watercolor paper and go ahead and watercolor them to get that watery, soothing look.

So, this is how the first one came out.... and I loved it so much I decided I couldn’t make a ring out of it!!! Instead I added the Polaroid lines , added @taylorswift , added Lover, and then I went back and decided.... WAIT!! Since I made this a Polaroid, why not take out Tay’s headband leave a space for others to put their own face?! I mean, I know my artwork I SERIOUSLY LACKING 🤣🤣🤣 It’s my very first watercolor art piece! But how fun, right?

I’m adding the drawing, the template with no face, and my attempt. I used a chrome overlay to fit the coloring. I used the app Bazaart so if anyone wants to make one with the missing face that’s what it’s in. They really look like the signs you stick your head in at a carnival (unless you try to do it professional like).
