Wealthy political donor Foster Friess lost to State Treasurer Mark Gordon in Wyoming’s Republican primary for governor, while U.S. Sen. John Barrasso fended off a well-funded challenger in his GOP primary.
The current governor of Wyoming, Republican Matt Mead, cannot run for a third term. Of the various Republicans competing in the primary to replace him, Donald “I don't want to brag about it, but man do I have a good record of endorsements” Trump strongly endorsed conservative billionaire Foster Friess, a long-time GOP megadonor and Evangelical activist:
“To the incredible people of the Great State of Wyoming: Go VOTE TODAY for Foster Friess - He will be a fantastic Governor! Strong on Crime, Borders & 2nd Amendment. Loves our Military & our Vets. He has my complete and total Endorsement!”
