Random sketchy sleepy Fear

Sketching one of my first original story characters. This fella has been around since 5th grade.

His name is Rike. He is an Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphin from the story “Ivory”. 

I’ve been gearing up to rewrite this tale again. There are certain things I’ve COMPLETELY changed, and I’m hoping it makes it work better! I’ll be posting chapters of Ivory to my Patreon, but they will NOT be behind a pay wall. Any bonus material, like more design sketches and factoids, will require a donation. ;)

Buncha random notes and doodles I’ve amassed over the past month or so about Tethered. 

What is Tethered? It’s a video game concept my brother came up with a hundred years ago that I randomly decided to play with. And, before you ask, I’m afraid I do NOT plan on making anything from this. I just was brainstorming. Sorry! 

The story is kind of long, so I’m putting it below a thing.

Let me tell you a thing. 

A long time ago, when Sega and Nintendo were still bitter rivals who hated each other, the idea of Sonic and Mario appearing in a game together was laughable. We all secretly wanted it to happen, though.  One day I wondered aloud how they would even control the two characters since they were so vastly different. It was then that my brother came up with a basic concept; The two are tied together and work as a single player. We joked around about the concept and came up with more ideas for it, but ultimately knew it would never actually happen. 

When Sega games started coming out on Nintendo consoles, suddenly our hopes for a Sonic and Mario game came roaring back. 

Imagine our disappointment when they finally DID star together.... In the olympic games.... How anticlimactic. 

So recently, while I was complaining once again about the missed potential, my brother reminded me of that silly idea he had had many years ago. And I wondered what it would actually look like if it were a real game. 

So I called it Tethered.

Basically its just nonsense. I guess Robotnik and Bowser are working together now to take on the two. They successfully caught the heroes only to wind up losing them again when the two escaped during a transfer to a higher security holding area. However, the two were unable to break the tether that had been put on them as a security measure. So I guess its world saving time. Too bad they don’t exactly get along. 

Oh. And I guess maybe Tails and Luigi are tethered together as well?? I dunno. I feel like they would be more like a hint system or a tutorial that swoops in every now and again.

Again, these are all just random ideas I thought would fit for an actual game concept. None of this is serious or anything. 

In fact, if anyone wants to add to this nonsense or otherwise play around with the concept, feel free. I have a few more ideas I might scribble down eventually as well. 

Seriously, though. They really need to make a NON SPORTS GAME of the two. Come on. >w<

Super Mario Bush Whisper-er Otherwise known as super sluggers. I find it hilarious that you can get money by telling Mario to whisper to bushes. So when they told me to paint a billboard, I couldn't resist. THIS WAS DRAWN WITH A WII-MOTE. PLEASE APPRECIATE HOW HORRIBLY DIFFICULT THAT IS. TwT Also sorry for the terrible photo of my tv HAHAHAAAA I'm lame.
