You know, I'm usually pretty good at reading people, that's sort of what I do. Fringe 1.01, "Pilot"

psychokinesis - ability to move objects my mental effort alone

note: Literally the entirety of the lab kids. no need to clarify

teleportation - the act of traveling by an imaginary very fast form of transportation that uses special technology or special mental powers, or of causing someone or something to travel in this way

note: although not specifically seen in ST, not unlikely (i think there are theories about brenner and teleporting?)

nanotechnology - the use of matter on atomic, molecular, and supramolecular scales for industrial purposes

note: could be related to the soteria, but generally not out of reach for the lab

artificial intelligence - the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence

note: i’ve yet to see implications of AI in ST, but may be worth looking into considering brenner’s disappearing and reappearing acts

precognition - foreknowledge of an event, usually paranormal

note: will doesn’t have precognition necessarily, but his connected to vecna function that way because he feels the activity of him

dark matter - nonluminous material that is postulated to exist in space and that could take any of several forms including weakly interacting particles ( cold dark matter ) or high-energy randomly moving particles created soon after the Big Bang ( hot dark matter )

note: considering the mind flayer is heavily associated with the cold, we could view the flayer as cold dark matter

cybernetics - the science of communications and automatic control systems in both machines and living things

note: same as everything else. not exceptionally obvious but not out of the realm of possibility

suspended animation - the temporary cessation of most vital functions without death, as in a dormant seed or a hibernating animal

note: sooooooo maxcore. incredibly maxcore.

transmogrification - the act of changing into a different form or appearance (especially a fantastic or grotesque one)

i cant even get through the first episode of fringe why is there SO MUCH to write down jesus christ i hate expositions. anyway

1976 keeps coming up as a very important date across multiple sources the duffers were inspired by, and that year will and el would’ve been five. im gonna have to remind myself to investigate characters aged five in these sources at some point

after dunham sees scott and the explanation of the quarantine are explained, a white butterfly flashes on screen.

knowing what i know about the show currently, this could be a marker of a timeline change/split. if not, it seems as though it’ll become a recurring pattern due to the lack of explanation for it but incredibly emphasized presence of it
