Long story behind this one - One day I fell down a rabbit hole of old UNDERTALE posts that would probably considered lost to time if it hadn't all been reposted on a Russian Instagram clone. There, I found artwork of Frisk and Muffet dating back to ye olde year of 2016. One of the pieces there was from a discontinued AU, named "WARTALE," where-in Frisk was giving candy to a malnourished and famished Muffet. From what I could gather of the AU from a translated wikia page, a civil war sparked inside the underground between those who sought peace with humankind and those who would rather see them dead. Frisk is a human in hiding from monsters that want to kill them, while Muffet, a starving orphan that had to resort to cannibalism to survive, is captured by the human-haters and used as a feral attack dog against their enemies. I really liked the designs, so I made this. Might be the first WARTALE (Russian) fanart in 9 years lmao.
