Magnetgekuppelte Seitenkanalpumpen für Extraktionsprozesse

  Zur alkoholbasierten Lösung von natürlichen Wirkstoffen aus Pflanzen sind mehrere Fristam Seitenkanalpumpen im industriellen Einsatz. Die selbstansaugenden FZ 17 Kreiselpumpen fördern Alkohol aus IBCs in Tanks mit Pflanzenteilen, wie zum Beispiel Kamille. Der Alkohol wird solange immer wieder durch den Tank gepumpt, bis alle Wirkstoffe aus den Grundstoffen gelöst sind. Für diese Aufgabe und Produktionsumgebung sind die FZ-Pumpen mit Magnetkupplung und Spalttopf hermetisch dicht, wartungsarm und erfordern weniger Atex-konforme Peripherie.

In den selbstansaugenden FZ Pumpen wird der Druck über strahlenförmig angeordnete Schaufeln in Verbindung mit hydrodynamisch optimierten Seitenkanälen auf das Fördermedium übertragen. Das Laufrad mit besonders engen Dichtspalten bewirkt eine optimierte Saugleistung. Zur Förderung der alkoholischen Lösung im Atex-Bereich kommen neben dem wartungsarmen MAK-Antrieb noch eine sensorbasierte Temperaturüberwachung am Spalttopf und ein Level Switch zur Vermeidung von Trockenlauf auf der Saugseite hinzu. Der Feststoffgehalt der in diesem Prozess gewonnenen Extrakte ist sehr gering, so dass der Spalttopf nicht verstopft. Side-channel pumps with magnetic coupling for extraction processes

  Several side-channel pumps from the German pump manufacturer Fristam are in industrial use for alcohol-based solutions made from natural active substances in plants. The self-priming FZ 17 centrifugal pumps pump alcohol from IBCs into tanks containing plant parts, such as chamomile. The alcohol is repeatedly pumped through the tank until all the active ingredients are released from the raw materials. For this task and production environment, the FZ pumps with magnetic coupling are hermetically sealed and require fewer Atex-compliant peripherals.

The self-priming FZ pumps operate according to the side-channel principle. The pressure energy is transmitted via radially arranged blades in conjunction with hydrodynamically optimised side-channels to the medium to be pumped. The stable impeller with a particularly narrow sealing gap ensures an optimized suction performance. For pumping alcoholic solutions in the Atex zone there is a sensor-based temperature monitor on the containment canister and a level switch to prevent dry running on the suction side. The solids content of the extracts derived from this process is very low, so the containment canister will not clog. Fristam inaugurates new production building in Pune, India, and triples capacity

  At the site launch ceremony, where Fristam owners Mr. Wolfgang Stamp (right) and Mr. Joachim Friedsch as well as a large number of customers were present, production and assembly officially commenced at the new Indian plant. The move became necessary due to capacity constrains to meet rapidly growing demand from the local market with the short delivery times. At the new location, Fristam India employs nearly 50 people, who manufacture FP series centrifugal pumps and assemble FL rotary lobe pumps. As a direct result of the move, Fristam has tripled its local production capacity to over 200 centrifugal pumps per month. Fristam weiht neues Produktionsgebäude im indischen Pune ein und verdreifacht Kapazität

  Im Rahmen einer großen Eröffnungszeremonie, an der auch die beiden Eigentümer von Fristam, Wolfgang Stamp (re.) und Joachim Friedsch sowie zahlreiche Kunden teilnahmen, fiel der Startschuss für die Produktion und Montage im neuen Werk in Indien. Der Umzug wurde nötig, da die Kapazitäten der alten Fabrik nicht mehr ausreichten, um die wachsende Nachfrage aus dem lokalen Markt mit den gewünschten kurzen Lieferzeiten zu bedienen. In der neuen Niederlassung beschäftigt Fristam India fast 50 Mitarbeiter, die Kreiselpumpen der FP-Serie produzieren und FL-Drehkolbenpumpen montieren. Mit dem Umzug verdreifacht Fristam seine lokalen Produktionskapazitäten auf über 200 Kreiselpumpen pro Monat.
