FRobin Month - week one: Lost

Robins DenDen Mushi rang and she picked it up. If someone was calling the little thing it would probably be an emergency. Though she really hoped that it wasn’t a call for running because the Marines caught up on them.

“Robin here,” she turned around to see Chopper looking at the stuffed animals with big eyes.

“Hey! It’s Franky. You need to come. I think… I lost the others… and… “

“Yes?” her voice took a careful but threatening tone.

“I think I’m lost too?”

That was a surprise.

“How can you be lost? There are maps everywhere and arrows on the floor!” she moved towards the youngest crew member who was now focusing on a really adorable plush baby wisent.

“Robin, this store is huge!”

She sighed. There was no use to get angry now.

“Where are you? Where have you lost the others?” “I’m not sure…,” a short shuffle could be heard, “I think it’s… bathrooms?” “All right,” she tapped Choppers head who was now holding the plush and looking up at her with starry eyes. Her heart melted at that sight. “Stay where you are we’ll be with you soon.”

With a huff she hung up.

“Do you want to have this?” Robin smiled down at the ships doctor. “Can I?” “I’m sure we can afford it.” She glanced at the price. It would be fine. “But we need to go now, looking for our friends before anything explodes, people burn and scream and we have to run.”

Choppers face fell at that and panic showed in his face.

“WE HAVE TO FIND THEM!”

“Indeed.“

She walked to the next map. The bathrooms displays were only two sections away. The other were probably at the food-court, so they had to hurry a bit. Maybe she could come back later when the others were back on the ship and look around again. This time with Nami.

“You’ll be able to sniff them out?” “Yes!” Chopper put the stuffed animal in the huge blue bag Robin was carrying and put his nose up, causing a couple of confused looks from passersby. „Zoro is this way!“ Chopper walked into the other direction towards the bedrooms. Robin shook her head with a smile. Of course.

--- Franky was waiting. So the was  looking at a very nice combination of a dark and white coloured bathroom cupboard, all decorated with cozy looking towels, tooth brushes, plastic plants, candles, nice smelling… crystals? It was a perfect looking little bathroom.

Obviously it wouldn’t fit on Sunny. The stuff would be broken as soon as one of the boys walked in. The wood was too delicate. Maybe it was fine for all these young couples that passed but not with a bunch of rowdy boys. Though, Robin and Nami would probably love this. Maybe he could at least use some of this as inspiration to redecorate the basin in the girls cabin. So he took one of those small pencils and a piece of paper and started to make notes of the numbers that were attached to everything.

It didn‘t took long before Chopper was running towards him, dragging him to Robin and a sleepy and angry looking Zoro.

„Where did you find him?“ Franky gestured to the swordfighter. He was supposed to look after Brook and Sanji. „Bedrooms. He was snoring in a king-sized bed.“ „I did not snore!“ „You did,“ Chopper answered while continually sniffing for his friends. „I had to calm the employee down because Zoro was still wearing his boots“, she had started to hold Franky’s hand while the small group continued their way through the other departments. They picked up Nami and Sanji where the kitchen were displayed. The cook immediately gave Franky a description about new ideas for his own kitchen. Then they reached the food court.

Surprisingly enough Brook and Usopp had managed to keep Luffy in check. Still, they had bought a lot of food. Robin really hoped they had still enough money to buy the things they had put in the bag.

While everyone continued to eat (Sanji was impressed about all the different menus they could choose from and the efficiency. The taste was a whole other story) and to talk about the different things they had seen in this gigantic store.

That moment a voice could be heard coming through the comm-system.

“Dear parents, the small John wants to be picked up. The small John wants to be picked up please!”

With a smile Robin turned to her Cyborg.

“I still don’t understand how you got lost but I’m sure one of the nice employees would have taken care of you and called for us.”

With an annoyed look Franky glances down at the woman beside him.

“Very funny. Remind me to never call you again for help.”

With a chuckle Robin squeezes her man's tight, watching Chopper showing his new toy.

“That is not in the budget Chopper. And your allowance is not enough to cover the plush!”, Nami is nipping on her Orange-drink. “I’ll take care of it Nami,” Robin interjects.  “Then it’s fine.” 

“Robin! Can I have one too?” “Sure Captain.” “Awesome! I want the giant shark!” “Can I have one too, Robin? I’ve seen a really cool plush that was based on a childs drawing!” “Of course, Usopp.” “Thank you Robin!!”

Now Namis brows are furrowed and she seems to contemplate what the heck was going on with the archeologist that calmly continued to nip on her coffee. Except for the three youngest who were too excited about the fact that they would get new toys (and Zoro who had fallen asleep again) the rest of the crew seemed to wonder about what was going on too.

Robin shrugged her shoulder nonchalantly.

“I’m just glad we didn’t lose anyone in this store and everyone behaved.”

The rest:

“Miss Robin, can I have something too?”

“If it’s panties I’ll have to decline.”

“Actually no. It’s a small plush of a whale, just like Laboon.”

“Then it’s okay.” 

“Thank you Miss Robin!”

“Robin…,” the Navigator later whispers.

“Do you want something too, Nami?”

“They have this really cute cat plush…” 

“Don’t worry, you’ll get one too.”

“Robin! You’re the best!”

“Uhm…”

“What did fancy your eye, Zoro?”

“The tiger.” 

“No problem.”

“It’s just really soft, okay?”

“Of course.”

“It will help me nap! Shut up!”

“Fufufu.”

“Sanji, I thought you’d like this one.”

“I don’t want any stupid plush animals!”

“It’s a present. It would mean a lot to me if you’d accept it.”

“Then it’s fine Robin-chwan! Everything for you! … little cakes?” “I thought it would be funny. Just take care that no one eats them by mistake.”

“Thanks Robin.”

“Do you want something too, Franky?”

“I don’t think I can find anything better than you here.” 

“You old charmer.”

“I think you mean super charmer.”

“Maybe I’ll find another cyborg somewhere here…”

“Hey!”

Sorry I have to stop. Guess who has no inspiration to write or draw atm? THIS ONE HERE! Anyway enjoy this little totally not Ikea-adventure.
