Do you plan on asking for Miss Whitfoot's hand?

Frodo paused in alarm at the straightforward question and cleared his throat uneasily.   "I do not have plans in that regard, I'm afraid. Flora and I are courting still; we have made no arrangements as to our future together. There are many concerns I must tend to before I have confidence in my ability to wed; though I should like to experience the joys and pleasures of a married person. I cannot answer that for you now. Perhaps in the future?" He offered a light smile.

“You are my Lúthien,” Frodo declared softly. “And my heart sings only for you.” His hands slid down to hold her waist, and then he drew Flora close and kissed her under the starlit sky.

“Sometimes I dream of you. I hope it isn’t wrong. But they are good dreams, and we are both very happy in them."

"Well you better get a move on, Lad! A pretty young lass like that has bound to have a hundred suitors willing to replace you. If you go questing like your Uncle, you can ask one wee hobbit if you can court her. Go on, off you pop, give her these.." Thorin drops some hand decorated beads into his hand. They bear mallorn leaves and mountain peaks and little swords.

Frodo bit back a stammer of fluster once he found his hands filled with the decorated beads. Thorin’s words mildly filled him with panic, and he offered his surrogate uncle a look of pure helplessness at his admonishment. Though he felt undoubtedly fondly toward Flora, and hoped to kiss her someday, the thought of future marriage staggered him. "Yes sir," he managed, clasping his hands protectively over the precious gift. “I shall do my very best to win her heart."

"When are you going to ask the lass to marry you, lad? I should like some grandchildren before I die." He smiled to himself, well, hobbit grand-nephews at any rate.

"O-oh! Uncle Thorin…" a blush bloomed instantly in Frodo’s cheeks at the inquiry. He averted his eyes. “I do not know if or when we shall marry! I haven’t asked her to court me yet. I don’t know if I am the best of your nephews to rely on for grandchildren!"

"I'm glad to see you're back from your trip safely, Frodo," said Flora with a brilliant and slightly sheepish smile.

"And I am ever so glad to be greeting by such a lovely and gentle maiden." Blushing he took her hand and drew it to his lips, landing a feather-soft kiss upon her knuckles.

Look at you! A month ago you said you were hopeless at courting, and now you have a very pretty lass and you're both happy. Congrats!

A smile graced Frodo’s lips and he bowed his head to hide a faint blush."Thank you, stranger. Your sentiments are deeply appreciated. Do keep us in your hopes— for I have not asked her to formally court me yet."

Or you could stuff the flowers in her face and have HER eat them. Whatever works best for you two, man.
