I’ve got a couple of questions about Ashe’s clothing, and about Kier too if you don’t mind answering them? [snipped] 1. What is Ashe’s tunic made out of? I can’t quite find a tunic that looks anything like hers, so I’d have to make it from scratch so I’d like to know what I should be aiming for here. 2. Ashe’s armour is leather right? I’ve also noticed a few designs on it, and on her tunic at the bottom, is there anyway of getting a closer look at those? 3. What’s Kier’s cape/cloak made of? I think I know a place where I can get a black cape with a red inside but its made of velvet which I don’t think is quite right. 4. What are their shoes like since we never really see below their knees? 5. Any advice for putting together either outfit? 6. Are you okay with a lady cosplaying Kier? [snipped] I think that’s all my questions, but if you guys have anything you can think of please mention it?

Ooo! Cosplay! Sounds like fun. I don’t know much about fabric or costuming so I’m afraid I’ll have to be rather vague about this stuff. On the other hand that gives plenty of wiggle room? Maybe? 1 I imagined Ashe’s tunic being some sort of softer leather. It isn’t form fitting by any means and probably wouldn’t crumple much if placed on the ground. However it’s pliable enough that it doesn’t impair her movement. Hmm. I’d put its hardness somewhere between a leather jacket and a pleather jacket. 2 Her armor is hard leather. Thicker than her tunic. As for the bands holding it on was thinking very thin polished-leather straps, or thick sturdy fabric wrapped tight. Something elastic is probably the most practical to hold these on for cosplaying purposes. The designs just border the edges, about an inch or so in. They’re just indents really. You could get the same effect from a small cut. But seeing as people can barely see them in the art, they’re pretty faint and unimportant. 3 Kier’s cloak is fabric. Fairly sturdy but not as thick as, say, a trench coat. It isn’t a matte or soft material, but something smoother. Maybe what bedsheets are made from? I have no idea what I’m talking about. I’d suggest going with something lightweight unless you have superhuman shoulder strength. 4 The only real references are in the opening at the start of each arc. Kier has big ol’ steel-toed boots (he’s probably dropping plenty of things on his feet). They’re reddish to match his general warm color scheme. Ashe has moccasin type things. Think Korra (Legend of Korra). 5 Advice? I gave no thought to people actually having to wear these things. To be 100% accurate they’re probably seriously uncomfortable to wear, or hard to get material for (just imagining the chafing on Ashe’s tunic make me cringe). So I wouldn’t stress about the materials. We’re just super stoked to hear that people want to dress up as our characters! (I’ve been drawing out the layers of Inien’s outfit today and have determined she could only be cosplayed in the arctic without the wearer dying of heat stroke.) Oh, also Ashe is entirely blue under her clothes. Completely tattooed. In fact she’s probably all blue and had a Caucasian skin-tone tattooed on her face and arms. Da-ba-dee-dabba-da-ee. 6 OF COURSE we’re ok with a girl playing Kier! We’re ok with anyone playing anyone! Please excuse my rambling on a topic I know nothing about. Whatever suggestions I made are probably best ignored in place of your own judgement. I hope that helps! And if you decide to go through with it- we expect pictures!! Best of luck, Jackson

So just wondering, considering it's just about tax season and when the deadline for getting that in is, do the Alarani get returns from the Tax Goat? Is it their version of April Fool's? Like do people dress up as the Tax Goat but go around and give away money for some reason?
(Snipped) Also why it seems Dont has a cat-like tail if she's supposed to be a pigbat?

Tax returns? In Alaran? They're lucky it's not scam your family day.
Finally, despite how it may appear-

The Symbol on Gregor's Chest
Fan Email [4/22/15]:
1) Is the long scar across the front of Gregor's torso from the wound he received from Sir Dunstan? Or was the Sir Dunstan wound completely healed without leaving a scar?
2) Is the ornate mark over Gregor's heart a tattoo or a brand?
Email received from Jackson [4/23/15]:
Jackson here-
I like slowly revealing backstory this way so I try to keep things vague and let the picture coalesce bit by bit. And coalesce it will! But I can tell you that the mark is a brand. And a familiar one.

On the map, does it go by lines or squares when using co-ords?
Email received from Jackson [3/9/15]:
