look, something I need to get off my chest: yes, Marielle as a character didn't have much going on in the show BUT I find it abhorrently disgusting that people in all the from reddits are going like "thank god we're rid of her, now finally kristi can get with kenny" / "no longer cockblocking kenny"
bffr. Kristi was engaged to Marielle long before they ended up in Fromville. They had a long term relationship built not on a life or death situation but common interests, shared values, similar line of work etc. Kristi has known Kenny for how long? A couple of months at best? In which they simply grew fond of one another--and I do think the whole stuff was more on Kenny's side than Kristi's--and bonded in an extreme situation. And now Marielle, Kristi's fiancée (!), dies a brutal, horrific, traumatic death and you seriously expect her to hook up with Kenny the next day?
It's soooo homophobic, basically saying wlw relationships aren't valid and worth as much as straight ones. I'm already dreading that the show might go there but I'd be extremely disappointed. Kill your gays trope is enough, don't need that on top.
P. S. : no shade to Kenny, and also: he wouldn't
