There are 280 years between 2020 and 2300.

There are 220 years between the start of 1800 and the start of 2020, for perspective on that time gap.

Today's slang doesn't mean shit to Simon. Actually, he probably knows about completely foreign slang terms that would make Grace have to double-take.

Meanwhile Grace constantly sounds like he's speaking like he's from the 1800s to Simon.
