Summary: Tattoos, work and fluff

I’m alive! Sorry it’s been so long. Life has been tough this past month, and though the chapters have already been written... I had no motivation to post them. I know that sounds a bit dramatic, but it’s where I am with my life right now. I love reading everyones comments though! It has really helped me feel a bit better about my life. It’s just been one of those months where it comes at you from all angles. It would be really great if I could manage to get something right here soon. And I think I can do the holidays well :) Drink and be merry... right? I can do that. 

I had this idea for the tattoo shop since I incorporated Harry’s tattoos. A tattooed Harry is one of my favorites. And a tattooed Draco. I just like tattoos. If you watch Ink Masters, I feel like my tattoo artist is inspired by Ryan Ashley, just a good bit older.

Summary: Draco has some drama with his parents. 

I really loved writing this chapter. For so many reasons. But if you’re reading this... It contains SPOILERS. So please don’t read this anymore, go read the chapter. Go now. Please. I’m about to spoil things. All the things will be spoiled. 

OK SPOILERS AHEAD. 

I really wanted a confrontation with Draco’s parents. It nearly killed me not to write Harry’s POV only because I imagine him biting through his cheek to keep his mouth shut. But this was really about Draco choosing to stay where he is and recognizing he is happier now than he was before. 

My idea for an alcoholic Lucius Malfoy actually comes from the Deathly Hallows movie. In the scene where Draco doesn’t identify Harry, Lucius is holding a glass of wine. So I took that idea and sort of ran with it. 

It was also really important to me that Draco try to mend fences. I truly believe Draco would bend over backwards to be back with his parents, but now he is strong enough not to bend his morals to do it. And I think Harry would be extremely supportive, because he would for his own family. 

And now it’s finally revealed why Hermione and Draco are so close. I have this image in my head of how everything would happen, and part of me wants to write it and the other doesn’t. I don’t think it would be particularly enjoyable to write the scene, but I think it would add to the current story to see it played out. I believe this would shake them both up enough to become friends.
