Ever wish you had a kind of Synesthesia that would allow you to see your music translated to colour?🤔 This incredible painting by @davidrubinsteinart was inspired by our first collab with @temetyly - From Down Here🙊🙌 It's a surreal experience to listen to the song while pouring over the striking details of this piece, so much so that we've decided to make it the official cover art for the song!😍🎁 🎨: @davidrubinsteinart Wanna listen to From Down Here? I was in the shower,
where I do all of my excessive thinking, and for some reason the subject of war popped up in my head. And it made me realize how lucky we are that we have so many men and women fighting of our safety right now. Suddenly I just became really thankful that we don't have to go through what so many other children in middle eastern countries go through on a daily basis.
That's all.
I've never really believed. It's never really felt real. For a while I thought, just maybe. But I realize now that I was forcing it upon myself. And that shouldn't be the case. I felt as if I had to believe in order to be liked by people. I was afraid of losing those who I held so dear. Now I see that although this is honestly true to an extent (which is pitiful and pathetic), there are others that feel the exact same. Then there are believers who will accept you for who you are. Those are the Christians I love. Because, and correct me if I'm wrong, this here Jesus fellow loved everyone unconditionally. No matter what. Even those who hated him, he supposedly treated them as a friend. And if anything has stuck out to me while being doused in rules and regulations, it's to strive to make yourself more like him (with a capital H). So it's when I see these Christians that discriminate against non-believers, followers of another religion, gays, or just anyone with a different view than theirs that I immediately want to turn and run away. I would feel so incredibly guilty when I'd be sitting down, listening to things being preached about how all of this is so "wrong". In no way do I want to be associated with it. It makes me cringe. It all seems so, yes, I'll say it, hypocritical. I hate how that word has become synonymous with Christianity, but when you see people who can be so cruel to others then turn around and praise this man who "loves us so", it's confusing.
I'm not saying that I've completely lost all hope, but I'm more than definitely on the brink of it. I'm just saying that this march to a supposed peaceful eternity being led by millions of two-faced crazies is a little absurd. Also, I realize that not everyone who believes is this way. And those are the people who have my highest respect.
It's perfectly fine if you disagree with me. Because everyone is entitled to their own opinion, which is why I finally decided to share mine. I accept you for who you are. I hope you'll be able to come around and do the same.
I'll probably add onto this whenever I'm feeling particularly rant-y. But until then, Happy Easter.
