A soft sigh left her as her shoulders relaxed, one arm snaking around his back to hold him against her while the other travelled upwards until her fingers tangled in his hair, playing with the strands before she breathed him in. Expensive, Theo always smelled expensive- then again, so did she, and Draco. It came with their status. The most expensive colognes and perfumes, though Eris never really paid attention to how colognes and shampoos smelt on other people- only Theo. It was why she stole his sweaters.

“I..” Her voice was quiet, hesitant, as she turned her face to nuzzle against his head. Eris swallowed thickly, gathering up all her so-called Gryffindor courage that seemed to leave the room anytime Theo appeared. “I love you, Theo.” Words she had said many times before, playfully, platonically, as a way to assure him she would always be in his life. This time though… the weight they carried, she hoped he would clue into the meaning behind them this time- though this was Theo she was talking about.

“I’d marry you,” The words were out before she could stop them, such a casual response to his words but full of truth. Eris would marry Theo, in an instant if he asked her. But, he had made it very clear over the years where she stood in his life. Somewhere more than a friend, but less than a romantic interest- someone he could kiss from time to time, casual. God she hated that.

“You’re marriage material, Theo- you just don’t see that.”
