Happy travels! I do like to get a window seat whenever I can because I just like looking out the window at the landscape and in this case, the sunset. I hadn't realized it would be a full moon, but it sure did work out! Plus this was a trip to Phoenix, Arizona on Southwest Airlines. Though not exactly a perfect match, I think the plane's colors and the desert hues compliment each other so well. That was a nice, subtle picture by itself, but then to have the moonrise was such a blessing. Ok, to be honest - I did a little photo trickery on this shot. A little more than enhancing it, but I had to in order to make this look like I saw it. This cell phone camera just couldn't get the dynamic range of the full moon and the dimmer sunset. So I shot the pic, but in the original the moon is just way blown out - a white disc. So that very same night, I went out with the same camera and took a pic of the moon in better contrast. Then I shopped them together. No fancy enlarging the moon, or adding what wasn't really there. Just making it look like what I saw. I hope to take this flight again real soon!
