Gravity!
First of all: I want to return to this project in future. For now I have two started projects and ideas for next. The idea was simple: "There have to be a space missile launcher, stars, asteroids and a lot of tweening". I had watched the video clip "Juice it or Loose it" and it was main reason. I didn't make beautiful code. It was ugly but simple. Main rule was "Make it easy, not fast" so code looks like spaghetti ;) I'm big fan of OpenGl, unixlike etc. The game was made for linux and windows. I was writing on Arch Linux. Next I compiled it in virtual machine with old Windows XP inside. I couldn't test it, so I send zip to Facebook wall. People helped me. When I return to project, then I'll write more.
And there it's! My first little project called "Gravity!" I want to return to this project in future. More info soon.
Hello World
Hi. What can I say? When you made first program, for example in new language which you learn, you write "Hello World". It's simple. It's test. You just try to use it. And that's why i write this post. It's my test. The reason why I write this... it isn't simple. Maybe because i need some way to focus on job. Or to show off what I made and what I make. I'm student of secondary school. But it isn't matter how I learn, because I have one hobby. Or two. Probably two merged in one. I try to be a game developer. It's not so hard. I do this not because I want to make money, but because I enjoy doing programs, even if I don't end it. The hardest part of making games is ending. You can start thousands of good projects but won't end any of them. Or worse. You can start write game engine and never stop. I was in this trap for two-three years. I made nothing. But year ago I made my first step. There was a challenge in polish university. We had to make something interactive. I chose game and I did it. The 90% of gameplay was written a week before end. There were several bugs which I couldn't repair but main task in TODO was made. For me it was success. I didn't won main award but it was still a success. And now I have two projects which I will describe in next posts.
