Etherpad is an open source, web-based collaborative real-time editor, allowing authors to simultaneously edit a text document, and see all of the participants' edits in real-time.

Hey! This is a little like FlockDraw for writing, or Google Docs except you can actually see who wrote what. (I still can’t find any team sites like the one I used to run Froodpad on, though, so this is just a single-pad instance hosted on the same servers as wikipedia’s stuff.)

Come work on your own stuff, or just hang out with me while I attempt to figure out this plot!

I miss etherpad.

I used to run an etherpad team instance where my friends and I would write fics together. It was like google docs except easier to see who wrote what because all your text was highlighted with your color, and easier to chat because the little chatbar on the side was persistant, and there was a giant slider where you could see all your edits as they were made like a video, so if someone messed up your stuff or you changed your mind about a part that you edited out, you could just rewind it and copy/paste.

It was like drawpile for writers and the experience taught me so, so much and I want it back.

Apparently spgpad has an initiation ceremony. To write slash fic. I complied for the lol's.

Peter bust through the non-existant door to The Jon's room. The Jon turned and gasped as his lover/great great really great nephew came in.

"AND MY LAB COAT IS OPEN??"

The Jon swooned. "OHHH PETER VI OOOOHHHHHH"

THEY SMOOCHED AND IT WAS GREAT

The Spine turned gay and started macking on Sam and Steve at the same time.

Rabbit got jiggy with it with Jenny. Everyone was scarred forever.

Norman and Wanda read 50 shades of grey and had terrifying sex all over the front room. It was still not as gross as Rabbit and Jenny. 

And for days all everyone heard from a 500 mile radius was CLANK CLANK CLAAAANK

P.S. Michael sobbed forever because The Jon didn't pick him so he went and had wild sex in the vault with HatchWorth.
